Ikirun, Osun State - In a significant move aimed at fostering institutional collaboration and strengthening health education, a team from the Primary Healthcare Tutors Course of University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, on Monday, 18th May 2026, paid an official working visit/inspection to Ikirun College of Health Technology.
The delegation was led by Mr. Fatokunbi Abiodun G., Head of Primary Health Care Tutors Programme. He was accompanied by Mr. Akintola J.O., the immediate past Registry Officer of the institution, and Mr. Kehinde Akintunde.
Welcoming the team on behalf of the Rector and Chief Academic Officer, Mr. Salaudeen Oyewale, the College Registrar, Mr. Abdullahi Adeniyi, highlighted the institution’s commitment to academic excellence through sustained investment in modern facilities, teaching resources, and a conducive learning environment. He also emphasized the College’s readiness to embrace partnerships and collaborations that will further advance its academic and professional goals.
Speaking during the visit, Mr. Fatokunbi described the progress recorded by the College within just two years of establishment as highly impressive. He praised the Management for the notable increase in student enrolment, quality teaching and practical infrastructure, and strategic investments made in advancing healthcare training.
According to him, “I can say this boldly, within just two years, this institution’s pace of development demonstrates visionary leadership and a clear commitment to producing competent health professionals.”
The delegation was taken on an extensive tour of the College facilities, including lecture rooms, laboratories, the College Clinic, demonstration room, and other key academic units. The team expressed particular admiration for the demonstration room, noting that the investment in modern equipment and practical learning resources reflects a strong dedication to quality health training.
“I am totally amazed. Within two years, you have these? These are facilities worth millions of naira. I am honestly speechless. All I will say is well done as I pray that this institution grows immensely. The team-lead said.
The team commended the College’s rapid rise as a growing centre of excellence in health technology education and urged the Management not to relent in maintaining high standards across all operational areas.
